Stop expecting promotion to come from a buddy system, AB, or who was your old roommate.Find your place in the kingdom, dig in your heels, and build the kingdom of God. If you want a transfer, let your AB and other AB's know. Do not lock yourself into one state or area

Words of wisdom. I'm going to ask a favor of you. Would you mind starting another thread at some point, talking about retirement? I think a lot of younger ministers could really benefit from some advice you could offer on the subject. You finished well. Planned ahead. On your terms. I'm afraid many of our guys are going to be in dire straits because they never give thought to the day when they are no longer able to pastor.
