In case you haven't heard, we have another Lee grad appearing on The Voice this season, Brooke Mills Simpson. (She was a featured singer with with Campus Choir during her time at Lee.) She sang Amazing Grace last night & hit #2 on the Itune charts today! This one was her choice (most of the others have been her coach's choices for her.) She did an amazing job. These folks are the real deal. Very humble, sweet, genuine folks that love the Lord. They are also both Native American. Brooke traveled with her parents all of her growing up years and has been singing publicly since she was 2. The judges have treated her very kindly this season and told her in the blind auditions that she had superstar quality and have told her several times she takes things to the next level.If y'all are so inclined, the votes happen on Monday evenings that will keep her in the competition. If I wanted to be on one of those shows - I would sure make my way to Lee for some coaching.They do well every season now.And - they represent the college well - very well - when they make it

Brooke's mom asked for prayer today for Brooke, asking for prayer for a physical touch for her as well as favor. Four of the contestants will be eliminated this week, and four invited back for the final week. If you're watching, please vote as many times as you can. You can use different e-mail addresses to vote, also.On a personal note, Brooke's mom (Jimille Mills) won 1st place in Senior Adult Talent Female Vocal Solo this year, and I placed second behind her. I felt pretty honored to even be put in the same class as her. Brooke's dad, Mike, also placed first in Percussion Indefinite Pitch.
