A few months ago I mentioned that contrary to some people who joke about spending the kids inheritance, we were doing it. We are taking every member of our family on a family cruise. All balcony staterooms. All expenses paid. We are flying them in from as far away as Utah. I asked your opinions about the accommodations because we have one couple who have lived together for 5 years but are not married. By far the advice from my friends here was, stick to your guns, separate staterooms. I have.I am honestly not sure I would do it again. I talked to these two both with 4 yrs of college. They love each other, but their views of marriage broke my heart. I knew my grandson's position, his mom and dad have been divorced and re-married twice. The grandson was devastated the last time, a great athlete, but lost out because of team (noise). he quit tired of hearing about his dad who had been the coach. The young lady's story was much worse. These ideas break my heart (I even understand, I do not know how I would have felt if my parents had been as these kids parents.)They both were very sweet and understood Grandpa and Grandma's stand and had no problem abiding by our rules. So The cruise staterooms are now set in stone. Everyone is happy. We even added Disney world to the trip. I do ask your prayers. I will continue to talk to the couple. They are very dedicated to each other. Now that I said that. I had planned this family cruise for out 60th wedding anniversary. I am not saying it was a revelation, but I felt impressed to moved this BIG EVENT up to our 59th wedding anniversary. No one knows the future. I have developed a physical problem, it may be nothing, but I will wait until after the cruise to have it checked, if I can. I haven't asked for prayer personally here, but I am now. Thanks. Love you guys Some facts but mostly just my
