Post subject:  wayne: closing on a 1 million dollar building today(church planters testimony)

Nine and a half years ago, I left my home church to start a church in my Dad and Mom's basement. We had church in a basement, in a hotel banquet hall, leased space from another church, leased out an old bar and today we sign the papers for a one million dollar property. This building is where the bar was that we started leasing six years ago. Inside this building is: a auto repair shop, a batting cage, a furniture store and the local Good-Will leases some of the parking. The really amazing things is that the lease payments from the tenants will pay for the mortgage and give the church an additional 3000.00 a month income. Not to mention we gain additional space. The past 9.5 years has been a huge struggle with too many struggles to list but after a long fight trying to finance this building, God is about to take off some of the financial pressure!!!

Congratulations. Raising up a new church like the Lord placed on your heart is a wonderful accomplishment. It is so impressive, that I put your post at the top of the page.I pray what you planted and nourished will become a giant redwood. There is something in the redwood seed that wants to grow and grow and grow.God honors faith, and it seems you have over those 9 and a half years, exhibited a lot of faith. Obviously from your post, there will be a lot of Goodwilland worship there will be wonderful bar-none.Doyl

Post subject:  wayne: Doyle,thank you

I was prophesied to many years ago that my family would minister to the forgotten. The people that come to our church are truly that. Former addicts, alcoholics, people with a very bad past and some who just feel forgotten. Several former Catholics and former atheists.Once we get all the renovations complete, we will have a very hefty budget for outreach. Way more than what we have now. Not sure if I have done everything right but, I do know we were able to put more that 20% down on this building and have plenty of money left over. God has truly lead me and this congregation through rough times and truly has performed amazing miracles the whole time.

I like the idea that the rentals will produce payment with some to spare. Good thing for a (relativity) new work, not being bogged down with raising huge payments on property. Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

Post subject:  wayne: as requested

Charles: My apologies for not responding sooner but, I am a busy Pastor on the weekends and usually do not take time to get on Acts. Also, I did not get a PM from you. Our church has an average attendance of 125-150 on Sunday morning and we have already planted another church in El-Salvador. Our average giving per month is between 16 to 20,000.00. Our sanctuary is needing to be expanded now.As I stated previously: in the past 9.5 years, we have been in a basement, hotel banquet hall, shared another church, leased an old bar and now own a building. I just posted a picture of the building on our facebook page: www.facebook.com/missioncog/
