I don't. Israel pasted Syria when Syria wasn't in shambles.I think everyone is worried about Russia right now but Russia will have a little harsh rhetoric but in the background they will slap Assad upside the head for making them look bad. Russia told the world in 2013 that they would assure that Syria wouldn't use chemical weapons again. Russia looks very bad right now and Syria probably realizes that they have no friends if Russia is called on the carpet.

I am not sure it was a good decision. I still think above all ISIS is the main enemy and we should join hands with Russia to wipe them out. I am very unhappy that chemical weapons were used. TERRIBLE. But so is/was the killing of hundreds of men women and CHILDREN by ISIS. And not just Christians, but Christians were targeted. All I could see from the beginning was the USA toppling a leader of an Islamic country who did not support Sharia Law and he will be replaced with another IRAN type leader Vehemently anti-USA.I am disappointed in Trump's apparent s 'change of mind'. Now we have escalated a bigger 3-sidded war???? Disclaimer: I do hope I am VERY WRONG!!! But to the OP, I don't think this will initiate an attack on Israel, Syria has their hands too full. (However in an 'outside of the box thought) An attack on Israel could bring all sides (IN SYRIA) together against a common enemy! OUCH (But I do not see such an attack Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

I think the attack was perfectly executed and shrewd. It sends a message to Russia you better step up, to Syria you are not protected by Russia like you think you are, to the world we aren't letting this slide, to Americans Trump isn't a chump for anybody so shut up CNN.

I don't think Syria will retaliate against Israel. I'm not sure Syria is in a position of retaliation. They might sabotage their own people even more or their oil lines

I'm not 100% sure who did the gassing. If we had it wrong about WMDs in the middle east, this wouldn't be the first time that has happened.I do see the benefits of there being a strong man as a head of state in an middle eastern country who isn't a religious radical. Democracy only seems to function well when there are certain commonly held beliefs about human rights. There may need to be some strong institutions to handle a democracy. Otherwise a benevolent dictatorship or monarchy may function better, if you can actually get a benevolent dictator or monarch

If I remember right Saddam gassed the kurds up north. To me the use of a gas agent is considered weapons of mass destruction. So we got it right. The regime just got rid of the rest of them before we could find them. I talked with a man a level below a cabinet position in the Australian government who negotiates anti-proliferation treaties. He said Saddam Hussein may have been months away from developing these weapons, and that he had deceived even top officials in his government into believing they had these weapons. Maybe he considered his nearby neighbors a greater threat than the US, or maybe he thought pretending to have such weapons would have kept the US out.Another theory as that the WMDs were shipped to Syria. I believe I heard Perry Stone talking about some of his sources on this issue
