One of my sons has an opportunity to pick a place to live out of state if he so chooses & one of the options is in Tennessee.Other than our first visit to Cleveland to check out the Lee campus before my daughter enrolled & then our other visit at her graduation, I've only been to Tennessee in the late Spring, early Summer months. I basically had no response other than how hot it could get.My daughter would tell me from time to time how freezing cold it was in the winter but realizing of course that was relative to having lived here in Calif. all her life. Are there places where the weather is close to the same year round or would you say the whole state experiences 4 seasons a year? He's lived in Seattle before so he's obviously not afraid of the snow. I'm not at all familiar with the S/E so I don't know what would be a good recommendation to offer him. All thoughts & ideas are welcome & keep in mind all my boys love to hunt, fish, camp & hike Empty nest syndrome is for the birds!Email me at: [email protected] planters are focused on just one thing ...introducing people to Jesus!

It is a four-season state. At the same time, living in Florida, I don't think of the summer months in Tennessee as being nearly so bad.At the same time--especially in southeastern Tennessee, there is the coolness of the mountains, which moderates things a bit. But best of all, there are ice cold mountain creeks--and there are no alligators or sharks! It can get cold in the winter, but it seldom gets below the teens for the low (and usually no more than the mid-20s--I'm speaking of the Cleveland area). And while cold snaps can hit, a winter day can be expected to get into the 40s and 50s, if not a bit higher.
