| I will be one of the first in line to say some churches have used what many consider scripture 'misinterpreted' to come up with their 'position' of women in church. If in the USA, we FORCE a church to change its 'teachings' to fit the definition of a large majority, we are headed down a very slippery slope. Maybe I think too small. But if I do not like what a store sells or or what they support, I won't do business there. The same with a religious denomination, if I don't like OR BELIEVE what is taught, I WILL LEAVE.Many people would call the COG out dated and force a change 'legally' if possible. I think the Catholic Church should ordain women but I am not going to protest the catholic ChurchThe 'Metoo' group has a lot of good in their intent. WOMEN should NEVER be mistreated, but I also think if the belief that women should not LEAD is considered misguided and Biblical AND I had contrary thoughts strong enough, I WOULD LEAVE.I think most churches have some teachings or beliefs that rub some people the wrong way. But because they disagree doesn't mean they should force a change. I am not much of a protestor, I look for friends thati AM NOT MUCH OF A PROTESTOR.
