Pastors and other church leaders deal with many challenges and frustrations these days. Two things that help me stay encouraged in ministry and deal with tough church situations are the great words of wisdom shared by 2 tremendous people of God, Leonard Ravenhill and Margaret Gaines.Leonard Ravenhill: A man who is intimate with God is not intimidated by man.Margaret Gaines: I don't know if this was original from her or if Sister Margaret heard it from somebody else but she shared about the need to keep a vertical vision. Margaret described how she would stay focused on the greatness of God (a vertical vision) instead of paying attention to and letting one's mind focus on the vanity of people and what they are doing or not doing.
