I remember back in the 70's...very clear like...and one thing I remember and that is spite of difficult times, people were full of joy contrary what I see today. I would say it spilled over into the 80's.

Amazing isn't it? Technical advances change life and the 'way it was'. It definitely changes the way we look at things. As I am driving our Wheel-estate it is easy to see swerving cars. caused by the guy /gal texting. On I-95 last fall a guy passed me at about 80 mph I saw him coming and could see him bent over his steering wheel like he was studying his cell phone. just as his back bumper passed me he hit the center wall pulled it to the right in my path and did a 360 onto the shoulder. Traffic only slowed down. People just cannot be away from their 'contacts' for a drive. My guess from what I see, pretty much 25-50% of younger drivers stay in contact on the road. 95% of passengers do the same. Everyone seems to stare at their palms.I send too much time blogging on this thing and seldom use FB except to mostly wish my many 'FRIENDS' Happy BD. I'm on Acts or writing. ahahhahahahaThat is something else social media has changed. I now have GOOD friends I have never seen. LOLBut I think the comments are right, social media changed the WORLD both secular and religious Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

I agree with previous posters about social media stealing joy from Christians. People were more inclined to be in prayer or the Word before this time/thought stealer invaded lives. The Bible is true when it teaches us that God inhabits the praises of His people and in His presence is fulness of joy. Christians young and old used to fellowship with one another before the internet invasion. Now much time and thought realm is spent with unbelievers through social media.

Yeah, I wonder...Pastors here is an idea Most churches have some kind of fast at the first of the year. What if everyone put away social media for 40 days? You know that might cause some REAL change
