I have a feeling that most Church of God folks--even those who are (rightfully) highly critical of Trump's behavior--likely still think his general policies are worthwhile--certainly better than Nancy's or Hillary's would be.But I've been thinking about something, and it is this:Take heed, President Trump, lest we stop praying for you...and start praying against you.I am GLAD we have a president who is a bit of a political brawler. Why? Because nothing less would remotely dislodge the Democrats from all that they want to do.It SEEMS to me (though this might be confirmation bias) that the Democrats are utterly ruthless in getting what they want...while we often want to play nice (in fact, I think someone on this site made a similar statement). But while I detest Trump's childishness (or whatever it is), I do like that he's willing to go full-contact in these things. We have had presidents for DECADES now that play nice. Most of us appreciate that. But the Democrats have been trying to gut Trump since DAY ONE. When America found out that Trump had won, the left went into a violent tailspin of outrage and whining and a take-no-prisoners approach (some Republicans can't even dine with their families due to the deeply personal and hateful approach on them, law-abiding citizens--because of those who are not citizens and who will not abide by the law.

My vote is all about the platform. I cannot vote for a platform that not only embraces anti-God actions but...just Anti-God in general. I do believe there is demagoguery with GOP no doubt. But I cannot think of one thing the dems bring to the table that has a speck of biblical/Godly values.

While I am a conservative, I do think that the Democrats--to a fault, really--tend to try to look out for the poor more than the Republicans.

I do agree with Casey and it is a fact SOMEBODY (Big Gov't) has gotten it wrong. FDR a democrat, had programs that 'required showing up for pay.' My daddy drove from N. Georgia in an A-model with blown tires stuffed with rags to get a job. Millions of men left their families for months to work on WPA and other programs. Dad said some men worked some men leaned on their shovels but every one had to show up to be paid.Later the Democrats wanted to help the poor and decided to pay them to look for work. That actually worked for a period until many decided Getting paid and not working was great.Someone tried 'workfare' to replace 'welfare' but that was a bust too!I agree that education is the best way, and I actually think some people want out of the 'welfare line'. Johnson's great society didn't turn out too well either. It takes HARD choices in congress, and most of our leaders do not have the guts to pick the hard ones and work together so that the USA is living within a budget. They fear the ballot of the poor Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/
