It's been spread around that I came on Actcelerate posting lies trying to stir up sympathy and support to regain my credentials. I'm only going to say that I came here and posted truth without pointing fingers and making accusations toward anyone. There is a story to be told, but I simply do not find it necessary to do so. God has a way of sorting things out. I will simply say this, God has been blessing Keith Moore (and I as well) in an abundant way since planting Central Life. A church that is barely two years old has grown from 5to 45-50 and is growing. We've been blessed to be able to purchase the church you see below, as well as the house next to it, remodel the sanctuary, install a chair lift and currently are putting in an elevator while holding debt of under $80,000 total. As I said, God is blessing Central Life and I'm not looking for sympathy. Truth is, my heart breaks for the denomination that I've known, loved and bled for my entire life.

That's a great facility. If you only owe 80,000 total - that is a really great building.

The internet is a place for those who feel and are powerless against authority can have a voice. As you raise your voice, you will find others who share your experience. Kind of denominational METOO network.

Not to take us to far off subject, but with all the various size churches going under, it seems there is going to be a glut of empty buildings and a devaluation of the those properties due to over supply. Consider all the unused and under utilized buildings (large campus with small congregation remaining), combined with rising operational cost (our property insurance increased by 20% this year) such as insurance, utilities and maintenance, there is a crisis on its way. The smart move is to combine smaller congregations or having several groups meeting on the campus. Selling off the unused and under used properties in advance of the tipping point would be the best path for continuing operations (look at how many brick and stick stores are closing - including LifeWay). This means how denominations operate will be radically impacted. Our friend Darrell may just be ahead of the curve and we may wish we had followed his courageous example.

I'm smiling my friend. When I resigned a good church and turned in my papers, I was back-slidden and had lost my faith in God. I loved the people at my church and wanted only the best for those good people.A friend called me and asked if it was true that I had left my wife for our beautiful piano player. I laughed and said I was flattered. Please keep spreading that. Nothing could have been further from the truth! The piano player was a good friend of ours (still is as a matter of fact and we now attend the same church). She still is a beautiful lady but that certainly was not my problem. Friend you cannot stop stories but you can out live them. People love a good story to spin, the nastier the better.God Bless you and your efforts there. Life is good Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

Mat I predict that we will see more smaller congregations combined to create in theory stronger churches. Notice I said in theory. It doesn't always happen that way. Also state offices will begin cannibalizing smaller churches and selling their properties to keep the state office program and buildings paid up and functional |

If you eat all your seed you can’t expect a harvest. The positive about the centralized form of government is protection of assets for kingdom building. If you lose that benefit you lose value. Church planting is the only hope to replace closing churches. It begins at the state level through strong confidence from the local churches supporting the state Vision. That ability and confidence is built on integrity at the state level. The State office ability to plant is about Zero. They are only funded by the local churches that believe it the integrity and vision of the State office. I’m hoping and praying for healthy church plants inside and outside of the Church of God. Let’s build the kingdom. Darrell, I’m glad to see a healthy church plant in Pekin. If you are not welcome in the COG, don’t stress. Prayer for them and Just keep building the kingdom of God
