| I understand where you are coming from MI6, but there was a time in this denomination that camp meeting was 'awash' with the same question, both member and pastor.MrSippi is maybe quoting many of the pastors and members I knew when the COG (for some reason) did not want a pastor to remain at a church more than 4 years, so every year there was many changes, my daddy included.The Methodist church I understand still sticks to that practice, move the pastors at max @ 4 years.We no longer hold to that practice in the COG (I don't think) but the situations are still the same. Churches ready to send their pastor on and Pastors who are ready to LEAVE!Those situations still exist I think....... Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/ |
