Post subject:  Bro Bob: Grateful for Cojak

I've never met you. I am old enough to understand what you might look like, because I do remember the actual Cojak, lollipop and all.I was fortunate to see Regina's coming death quite some time before it happened and this allowed us to have some after we are apart conversations.I am so fortunate to have had that.My mom and dad were here the last two days to help with my babysitting of my two precious grand-daughters. Mom just turned 83, Dad will soon be 87. It is showing more in him than her. But I don't take our time together lightly. There are a fixed number of days, and we just burned two more of them. Why the rambling set-up with your name at the top? It is because you are also in their bracket, and though you may well outlive me, the odds are against it.I want you to know what a blessing you have been to me (and certainly to many here) for several years now.You are the real thing. The spirit of our creator resides in you like those 2000 demons did in the man from Gadara. Every time you type on that keyboard what is inside you comes out. Before you arrive in your new home, and leave us without the hope of just one more post, I just want you to know, whether here or there, I am looking forward to hugging your neck someday soon.God bless you, my friend and encourager.

Cojak surprised me one Sunday in Dover, FL, as my wife and I did our best to pastor a church that was long past its prime. He is as genuine in person as he comes across online. Such a sweet couple, he and his bride The World As I See Itworldjeffreysees.blogspot.com/Revuriah's Facebookwww.facebook.com/people/Jeff-Richard/1226257444Jeffrey David Richard's Myspace Musicwww.myspace.com/547856946

Cojak is as good as they come. His character, temperament and charity bare the markings of a life deeply impacted by Christ.

You guys are too good. Thanks for the encouraging words but I could never thank you for all the things I have learned from you since hanging around here. I see how my simple 'idea' of preacher and pastor was so out of touch with the real world. But to the OP, Bro Bob, you will never know what your recorded thoughts have meant to me. Now in my 80's and still fortunate to have 'my girl' we talk about the time to come that you experienced because we KNOW unless HE returns soon it will be us.

My last hitch in the USN I taught Naval Intelligence Processing (NIPS). My skipper called me in one day for a talk. (I was much older than he). Sit down Chief, the only time in my career I sat in a CO's office. I have stood outside you classes many times. I noticed you use many statements to drive a point home and most of the time, it is prefaced by, 'my daddy said', the wisdom of many of those seemed to fit perfectly. Is that your stuff or really your father's?Sir, my daddy was a COG preacher, he came from a farm and was self educated. When I use daddy said, those were his words. I do wish I could claim them.I know this is unusual, but I need some advice. I am considering retirement.... he went on to tell me his experience, background and some plans. He asked me what I thought would work for him. I was actually dumbfounded. But we talked man to man for over an hour. We stood, shook hands as he THANKED ME FOR MY TIME (which of course was HIS time!). By the way Chief, you had a special Dad, you were fortunate!I know Sir, he was a Godly man.We here on Acts are all blessed to have, and have had Godly people around us. Some people know how to bring the wisdom of Solomon to life as they live! It is good to be BLESSED with people of God. Thanks from here in the Virginia country Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

Post subject:  Aaron Scott: Cojak is a Church of God Treasure...

I am convinced that he and his wife have the gift of encouragement. He has visited us twice, and both times he did a sermonette for the children...but the adults liked it too!I wish we could clone this great couple. We know that evangelists travel to preach the gospel. But if there is such a thing as the evangelism of encouragement (and there ought to be!), this couple should be given a stipend to travel America, drop in on churches here and there, and make a pastor feel like continuing onward!I'm dead serious. That's how good they are.If they were up in my neck of the woods, you better believe I'd be doing my best to land them (even though there a numerous churches that offer far more than this pastor of my church can offer). COJAK, if you ever get back up Lake Park, etc., I'll be hoping to hear from you. I want to take you out to dinner and just enjoy y'all's company.

Cojak is the real deal and such a blessing to this board. He is a friend to all and willing to lend a helping hand if he can. While he protests that he is not a theologian, our dear Cojak is full of spiritual wisdom and common sense.Cojak, you did have a special daddy, and I'm so glad you learned so much from him, so you could pass it along to us. I think you & Sherry will both know when it's time to park the RV. Until then, keep traveling and stay safe. And most importantly, keep checking in here! You are loved and appreciated, Cojak More of Him...less of me.twitter.com/camiracle77www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=691241499&ref=name
