I ask that because the man I have always thought would make a great president, Lee Iaccoca, just passed away at 94. Most of us know him as a great business man, an innovator. He was also a great communicator and under his leadership the Mustang came about. Then his charisma and leadership saved Chrysler and introduced the minivan. I always wanted a business man for president. I voted for Trump.Trump is abrasive, crude and still carries a lot of baggage, mostly because he CANNOT be honest. He just cannot admit he bends even when he does. Something in his head will not allow him to say, Hey I made a mistake shooting from the hip on that one. What ever I am trying to ask: Do we have a Charismatic figure out there. One who can bring us together. Not every one liked Reagan, but he could talk to opposing politicians without calling them names.Anyway my wife says I cannot remember how long it's been since I changed oil, much less how old Lee was. I thought he was still around 75. This country needs someone who can talk to ALL citizens Democrats, Reps, Indys and minorities and still believe that the majority rules but doesn't try to stamp out anyone who apposes them. Our president is the president of all, not just us conservatives. Sorry to take so long to ask, IS THERE A KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR? Will Trump be reelected? (IMHO) That simply will be according to who opposes him, not how great he is.(I can remember 14 presidents Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

May I suggest that Trump just might be the sort of president we NEED? I'm not saying that we need someone who ALWAYS spins things in his favor, but we absolutely have needed someone who is abrasive and brash enough to maintain a full-court press on Congress.Even when we had a relatively get-along president in GWB, they tried their best to crucify him. When we had a nice-guy like Obama, the Republicans did their best to crucify him (often winking at racial comments).Trump is brash. Trump is abrasive. Trump needs to get sanctified (assuming he's even saved). But Trump is BOLD. This whole concept of play-along-get-along has greatly damaged our country. The only people really getting hurt right now, in my opinion, are snowflakes who HATE, HATE, HATE Trump, and are upset that he won't bow to their foolish demands.Trump has learned that if you admit anything, the left will turn it into a nail to nail you up.If you try to get along, they will let you do everything you will do for THEM, then fight you on the rest. The left needs a good gutting (figuratively, of course). And Trump has them deranged because he hardly gives an inch.If Obama had went to North Korea, he'd have won his second Nobel Peace Prize (after the first one was won for not being GWB). But Trump? Oh, it could endanger the world. He is making friends of dictators. Yeah, the last 50 years worked real well for us, didn't it? At some point, you need a bold move. And Trump made that move. Trump may be lacking in lots of the niceties (at least when taking on the left), but more and more, I keep thinking he is crazy like a fox. He will do all kinds of foolish things that seemingly tarnish him...and then he'll step across the DMZ and capture the world's imagination. He'll get criticized for his grandiose military display on July 4th...then make a speech that EVEN CNN realized had called their bluff and had not been partisan. That's either crazy on a genius level...or genius on a crazy level...or he's just better than we think he is.

Eddie, c'mon. We all know that Trump is not at all a great orator or a great scholar. But if that's really what you took away from yesterday's July 4th celebration.... That Battle of LaGuardia was the key factor in the victory!

I read what Aaron said, there is a lot I agree with, but I am still not sure.I like Casey's take and also the Sheep dog and Pence. BUT this time it ain't gonna be anyone on the Rep side 'cept Trump methinks. Pence will definitely not challenge him for the top position, and at this time politically (IMO) he shouldn't anyway. The first thing I read about Trump and the 4th was GREAT STUFF and not from FOX. I think it was said he followed the program to the letter even reading the speech from teleprompters (surely not). I would like to know exactly what the prompters read at the time that he could have confused with airports OUCH.But I remember just a few yells when Obama said he was gonna campaign in all 57 states. When Bush said about Iraq, Victory Accomplished or something like that.I was a Jeb man at one time and Also thought Romney would have been good at one time, but neither could 'swallow' what the voters chose, and lost my respect during a time their support would have added 'for the GREATER good'.Surely there is a politician up there that could fill the bill. The camera seems not to like Cruz (my take) and that is necessary today.I cannot tell, but are ANY of the Democrat candidates 'middle of the road?' Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

57 states was a thing for years. Not only that, the Organization of the Islamic Conference has 57 member nations, so it became Obama slipped because he's a Muslim.Fair's fair, I'm making Revolutionary War airport jokes until the day I die.
