| Post subject: | Preacher777: Questions concerning ministry salaries |
| I appreciate any help concerning the average or the range for ministry salaries for youth pastors, music ministers and associate pastors who serve the church on a full-time basis along with lead pastors in smaller churches. I realize that if a person is serving in Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago or other very expensive areas the average would be higher. Therefore, I am asking about an average or salary range with or without benefits in an area that does not have an excessive cost of living. |

| Unless they are funded by some big outfit, most missionaries receive small stipends and depend on the support of local churches to survive. Even the ones who are a part of a larger organization still have to raise their own monies. |

| Here is a link to lifeway compensation study by size of church and state. I think it's very much on the low side however. The AG pays better than these averages. And many mainline (Methodist, Presbyterian and Episcopal) pay a lot better.compstudy.lifeway.com/summaryreport.do |
