| My kids had gone to school in Hawaii, been home schooled a year, then went to school in Indonesia. We moved to Georgia and I enrolled them briefly in one school. The girls were shocked to hear kids cussing. One girl on the bus kept talking about being a lesbian, but they looked in the seat to see her clothed, but mimicking sexual intercourse with a boy in the seat. The kids talked about sex on the bus. My kids were shocked. We moved soon after enrolling them and went to school elsewhere. It doesn't sound quite as bad.My 7th grader was telling me about a girl she goes to school with who changed in the bathroom. She said she changed in the bathroom because she was 'not binary.' She claimed to be a lesbian, and also said she practiced Wicca. She said her parents were Christians and knew about the lesbian thing but not the Wicca. I feel bad for these kids being exposed to all this stupid philosophy-- not binary for example. When I was a kid, kids used 'gay' or other terms as an insult. The school wasn't promoting it. One school one of my kids go to had a 'pride' club last year. Another one of my kids goes to a school with a 'pride' club. During open house, a kid tries to recruit my son to the pride club, and said straights were a part of it too. I asked him if they had a club for boys who were attracted to red heads and Asians. That would be less crazy wouldn't it? Why would any public school or university even have a campus sanction club for people based on their sexual attractions? This is a crazy world we live in. They should characterize 'progressive' as a mental illness |

| Post subject: | UncleJD: ahh the joys of junior high public schools |
| Aside from the gay thing it sounds like not much has changed since the 80s. I was in junior-high in the early-mid 80s. The school bus, what a bastion of public education triumph that was! I witnessed and eventually got into fist fights, was flashed breasts by girls, offered drugs, shown pornography. One of my friends witnessed an attempted murder but I missed that one. That's why everyone needs to socialize their kids in public schools, go ahead and send those little ones out to be witnesses to the wolves. They have a whole lifetime to deprogram from what they see and do there. |
