| A good article no doubt, BUT wouldn't it have been smarter to tell the Joint Chiefs of Staff what was going to happen? Allow some input. Have your foreign advisors throw in their ideas?Dictatorship works well at times, BUT when so many stones will roll when a small wedge is removed, it is good to talk to level heads and get their ideas.We Americans were getting used to Presidential Orders (or what ever they are called) under President Obama. Now more battlefield decisions made from a phone call and the Wedge when removed is supposed to be replaced with a threat of 'Ruining your Economy,' if you play the bad guy. WE know the mid East is familiar with threats, they are usually only taken seriously if Israel makes them, and that is not Israel's policy. Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/ |

| He does have a point. Congress seems to have abdicated its role in declaring war to the president through legislation, who declares and directs wars without it formally being declared. If Congress wants its way, it can declare war.Trump could actually say that. He could say if they declare war on Turkey or Syria, he would be duty bound to oversea it, but prefers not to fight the war.But the Kurds do the short end of the stick. Are they going to help us the next time we need it?One thing he could do is open up the floodgates to Kurdish refugees. It would be ironic if Trump did that |
