| As someone who is blessed to be born in America, our flag is a special and cherished representation. However, the pin at this link struck me the wrong way. patriotdepot.com/star-spangled-fish-auto-emblem/?utm source=display&utm medium=worldnetdaily&utm campaign=wndsb4dthouseIt actually is a great looking pin in my opinion, but sends the wrong message.God is not an American, and Christianity is for all regardless of nationality.If the intent was that many Americans identify with and embrace Christianity, that would be a better intent, but I think we should be careful about giving the impression that God loves Americans better than others.I sure do, but Scripture says that God does not show favoritism. Or, am I taking that out of context?That's my opinion. What's yours? |

| I am from a different world I guess. I cannot get away from my early teaching about our nation's flag. Towels and clothing in our ensign's design bother me. Like the flag touching the ground etc.Of course I do not consider it sacred, but think it deserves respect. I guess the respect is in the eye or heart of the beholder.I still hold to the same thing about the Bible. It bothers me to see something stacked, or lying on top of it.I am old and silly!
