For your church to be viable, what is the acceptable size/% based on city populationExample, in a city of 25,000 should your church size be at least 1% of the population?

This is a great question. I’m putting together a demographics study for my pastor as we begin to plan to reach a greater portion of our small town. Amazing what you can find out by doing this. Since I live in a predominantly retirement community, only 24% of the people are below 55 years of age. Going after that age group is going to be our new mission “Hell will be filled with people that didn’t cuss, didn’t drink, and may even have been baptized. Why? Because none of those things makes someone a Christian.”

There are advantages to being a part of a small church, especially if there is a lot of love and a strong sense of community

I understand that. But as your city grows shouldn't you be able to grow as well
