Perhaps you have read about the Social Credit System-- this will allow the Chinese authorities to use mortgages, jobs, financial resources, and even access to public transit as a means to pressure Christians to deny Christ. Those who refuse to do so will be basically barred from society.

Thanks for mentioning this. I got close contract to work in China for three years, I think. I'd still have had a year left if I had. I heard and read about a crackdown on the campus I was considering to try to get them to comply with state ideology. The current president of China seems to be more into promoting state ideology and conformance with party standards
