They want to slap a man in the face, besmirch his reputation over things they KNEW could not be proven, over things that, even if they had taken place, were apparently just a one-time episode mix of Heineken and hormones, drag his family through the mud...and then they want to act like his getting mad as fire about it shows that he is somehow unfit to be a Supreme Court judge.Do you remember when Michael Dukakis was asked, if I recall, what he would do if his wife were assaulted? And he had very unemotional response? It cost him. He was more like an automaton than a man. Kavanaugh should be ready to smack the living daylights out of someone who would besmirch his name.Now, did he do it? Maybe. But the point is that NO ONE CAN PROVE IT! The ONLY think that it served to try to derail his nomination. It was not a quest for justice, for everyone had to know that there was no enough evidence after all those years to even take it to court--even if the statute of limitations did not apply.It was purely and simply the willingness to DO ANYTHING to get their way politically. Had they been able to show a pattern of such behavior, that would have been one thing. But you can be sure the Democrats were looking for anything they could have found, but having found nothing, they then turn to the smear.Is there anyone in America that doesn't think we'd be better off if Congress mysteriously just vanished? It's the most dysfunctional mess this side of state prison. If Lindsey hadn't spoken up, I think I'd have been pretty much fine with sentencing them all to 50 years of penance.
