I just ran Credit Karma's tax estimator, and it estimated my federal liability would go down about $2,220 due to the tax reform bill.

Nope. I've always been a fiscal conservative; that's one reason I don't support Trump.

I'm not complaining, I'm thrilled. I'm sure many other non-1%ers are as well, contra the wailing of the Democrats.

No he didn't. There was no need. The usual Senate holdouts guffawed for a bit -- Ron Johnson, Susan Collins, Jeff Flake, etc. But the rest of the caucus was enthusiastic about tax reform from day one.

Post subject: Dave Dorsey: It would have been DOA, but what's your point? Do I have to vote for Trump in 2020 because I approve of the tax bill he supported and signed? My point is, if you want to keep the tax cuts, then you'd best vote for the one who would keep them.

Come on, dude. A Democrat WH/Congress would definitely pass anti-business taxes and choke the economy, but tripled taxes and total welfare for immigrants flooding across open borders? That is absolute lunacy and making extremist arguments like that hurts the effort to win over independents who are smart enough to know it's bunk. This line is the Republican equivalent of the GOP wants to kill poor people.

Socialism is the new black. Thankfully I do believe it will hurt them somewhat in the short term, but that's where they want to go, especially the youth of the party.BTW, if the GOP manages to field a GREAT alternative to Trump in the primary, I'm VERY open to that. I didn't vote for him the last primary. I'm not married to him, but I do believe he's done far better than I'd expected at one point, and I'm even open to the protectionism for a change seeing how free trade has been anything but for America. Frankly though, I will not vote for another Romney or McCain type RINO, it would take a real conservative or libertarian to sway me personally.
