Is rope a bad word to use - since they were used in lynchings. Is tree a bad word to use - since they were used in lynchings? How many words are off limits for white people to use?How many words are off limits for black people to use?How many words are off limits for Republicans to use - even if Democrats often use the same word - but are morally outraged when Republicans use the same term

I'm probably wrong about this because my memory isn't what it used to be, but didn't the Dems use the word lynching to describe the impeachment of Clinton? Or am I imagining that “Hell will be filled with people that didn’t cuss, didn’t drink, and may even have been baptized. Why? Because none of those things makes someone a Christian.”

This type of thing 'labeling bad words' has not reached its limits yet it seems. I am always amazed that words are used to characterize people or events.I remember queer became a 'bad word' in the 50s and people were frowned on that used it. Now it is used with pride. What gives? I agree with the central thought of this post. Screw was very nasty, now I hear it in the pulpit. If a boy in the 40-50s era had used the word Cornhole, the least he would have received would have been a whipping. It was worse than the F word.Amazing how these words are in and out. Generations generate love and hate of words as trends methinks. Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/
