Is to win the lottery, inherit it, break the law for it, or be very, very lucky.Has anyone found any other way? We often find that some of the richest families inherited that from ancestors who did some bad things (e.g., the father of JFK apparently ran rum during Prohibition). It is NOT hard work that does it. If it were, ditch diggers would be the wealthiest people around. It is NOT diligence. If it were, plenty of pastors would be wealthy. When it comes to being a self-made rich person, it comes down (for the most part, I think) to...LUCK. The person who invented Beta video tapes had a superior product to VHS tapes. But his invention didn't pan out.Bill Gates is not the only guy with great ideas. But there is something about the right idea at the right time with the right people--in other words, everything coming together in just the right way--the makes the difference.Capitalism likes to claim that hard work will cause one to become wealthy or otherwise successful. Well, if you define successful as putting food on the table, then yes, that is correct. But if you define it as having plenty of money, no debt, or the such, then NO. I was only thinking this because I was looking at a house (on the internet) and wondered how anyone could be wealthy enough to own such a house. I realized that even a doctor couldn't afford such a house. And that got me to thinking....There are all sorts of lies that economic systems tell us. I have told you what capitalism says. Socialism tells us other lies. Communism tells us even darker lies. ALL of them sound wonderful. But none of the claims fully come true, it seems.

Using your head, gambling a little and hard work CAN gain you a big bank account. I never can get it out of my mind. My BIL was a HARD WORKING electrician. We would drive past a mansion and invariably, he would say that could be mine, He started off as my helper when I worked for Bean Electric. He went out on his on evenings and weekends. finally started his own business.I told BIL that could never be his. YOU NEED SECURITY, that regular paycheck coming in. That guy may hit a bad spot and lose everything. The electricians working for him will just go to another job. It is a gamble being in business for yourself, but mostly it pays off if the owner is wise. As a rule you will not gain 'wealth' working for the man but you can live well.Rich is happy. My wife thinks rich is being able to eat out twice a week. I tell her I do too, maybe dinner in Hawaii. or Breakfast in Frankfurt. LOLYou will not get rich digging ditches, unless you own the Ditchwitch and sub to cable companies, etc.Doctors learn they cannot get rich unless they Own a Clinic and have DRs working for them. (Or they are a renowned Brain surgeon maybe.) Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

If you are 20 and put 50 bucks in a month and each year bump it by say 10 bucks...do that for 10 years you are on your way to become a millionaire by the time you hit 60.

I just read someone's facebook post that many people who love money work very hard for it and get wealthy. People who prioritize other things, like family, and work hard in that area reap benefits in those areas. Jesus said you cannot serve God and mammon.I Timothy 6:9 teaches,But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.this is something I have to constantly guard my own heart about

Truth, funny many folk do not know that. In my daddy's north Georgia Farmer's advice: don't to try to play someone else's game. I learned that early as a young guy on a ship when someone said they could teach me to play Poker! I apologized to daddy for not listening to him. Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

It has to be hard work in an area that pays off really well. Ditch digging may not cut it. But there are contractors who get into the right line of the ditch digging/landscaping business who do well.

Post subject: Cojak: You could go into business and earn normal profits, but in a high paying industry, for example, financial services, and eventually be debt free and have plenty of money. Not Bill Gates money if you earn normal profits, but way upwards of 6 figures

I know couple whose Granddaughter just took a job as an attorney on Wall Street her salary equals $175 an hour. Sounds like one could be RICH in a couple years, if they did not pay 10,000 a month for rent and about the same to park a car which ends up being half their salary.Wonder how much lunch is????Investors are having a tough time in Manhattan half the condos built in the last 5 years are unsold, the average cost of these stands at 3.7 million.Yep, it seems no matter how much one's salary is, some one figures a way to cut it back to a good living. Y'ain't gonna become wealthy (as a rule) on a set salary.BTW I haven't read the definition of 'Rich' yet. We all know Bro JD is RICH one way or the other! Just sayin'. I think he owns a Harley! Each person decides for himself what the definition of rich is.Jesus said the rich man fared sumptuously. In my view that is the top end of 'rich'. It is self centered. That man was not blessed with more than King David or Job or Solomon. So 'being rich' is not evil, and is not why that man ended up where he did. He was not a good steward. Are you rich? I just googled it... investopedia...
