Are any churches out there setting up a special fund or doing any initiatives to provide for those in the congregation or outside of it with basic needs like food or toiletries, rent, etc. during this time?I notice some churches give a lot overseas, but may not have much set up for their own members. Other churches have benevolence funds. There may be a high demand for those funds right now. Paul says to do good to all men, especially them that believe. The church in Jerusalem fed their own Christian widows and 'the list' for widows Paul wrote Timothy about would have been for certain highly qualified Christian widows. It is by our love one for another that the whole world knows that we are Jesus' disciples. My point is that we Christians should be taking care of our own. Has anyone set something up that they want to offer here as a model to emulate? There may be people out there who are working who are willing to give if they have something to give to
