But, only after they are dead.Up until the moment they die - they are racist, homophobe, out of touch rich guys that don't care about people.Re: Reagan, McCain, Dole, Bush, Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt (except for the 4 years he left the party - he was principled good guy then), etc..

Yeah, I saw the tribute. Thanks for noticing Bob is still alive. It sets up an old George Carlin joke.It goes something like: - yeah poor Reagan's gone, great guy, Yeah, Poor George is gone - Awesome man. Poor Bob is gone - superb---wait a second - that $%&* is still alive. And so it goes for Republicans. So help me, Trump will be thought of as a great guy when he's dead. If not sooner - all he has to do is run as a Democrat in 2020.The great, moral, kindler gentler Bush was defeated by the draft dodging, womanizing, sexist, groper in chief Clinton in 1992. But Bush was the bad guy, racist, out of touch guy to Democrats back then. Amazing

I have always admired GHW Bush for doing what was needed. Send the troops in, get the job done and Bring them home. I wish several presidents had decided that was the best way to operate. Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/

41 understood that regime change and the embrace of democracy can only come about when the governed rise to the challenged. We (the USA) were better off when Saddam Hussein was ruling. It was not the people rising to remove him, nor their civilization rising to the blessing of democracy. At least Iraq was somewhat stable and a wall against Iran.Even after 911, it is my view we should have gone in to Afghanistan/Pakistan with the mission of search and destroy. Building roads and bridges, schools, airports and other infrastructure in Afghanistan is like flushing billions of dollars down the sewer. After we leave that caveman nation, all we will have is graves of our best kind and debt of the worst kind. The Taliban will rule and our politicians who put us there will decry the waste of American treasure. 41 was pragmatic, and he did not see the need to free a people who did not want to be free.

Good after death, very true. Years ago it was even good for Democrats. The day before JFK was killed, in NC you could not find a good word nor voter for that 'pawn of Rome.' BUT THE NEXT DAY JFK became a martyr and one of the best presidents ever. Many people all of a sudden would say, I always thought he was a good guy!Yeah, funny how death does 'cleanse' the unclean.George HW was actually trying to 'work across the asile' when he agreed to the democrat taxes, and his 'working with the democrats came back to haunt him big time.'BUT now I look at the Bush clan with sorrow. I was disappointed in the clan for putting personal gripes ahead of country, and splitting their own party. Some facts but mostly just my [email protected]/
