I've recently taken an unhealthy interest in QAnon conspiracy theorists -- these are folks who believe, based on the anonymous internet postings of someone who claims to have an ultra high-level government clearance -- that Robert Mueller is actually working with the Trump administration to prosecute Obama, Hillary, the Bush family, and basically everyone else the far far far right views as boogeymen. They believe there are over 10,000 sealed indictments waiting to be released, and that when they are, huge numbers of Democrats (politicians, media personalities, etc.) will be indicted and sent to Gitmo to be tried by military tribunals for treason. There are a LOT (relatively) of people who believe this and it really blows my mind. What especially fascinates me is how they will justify ANYTHING to keep believing. When posts by Q (the alleged government informant) are demonstrated to be false (e.g. specific predictions that didn't occur) they will say, well, of course -- Q knows Obama, Hillary, etc. are watching his posts, so it's important he occasionally post things that will mislead them.
