More and more, it seems to me that Russia makes better decisions about moral and religious matters than does America. Of course, this wasn't always the case.The Russian Orthodox Church apparently plays a significant role in guiding policy in matters of moral or religious significance.Russia resists gay acceptance as an alternate lifestyle. That is, they don't arrest someone just for being gay, but if someone flaunts it or acts out in a public manner.... I feel I have to respect the fact that someone has a particular orientation. I don't think they chose it. But at the same time, that should not mean that we think it is perfectly fine to have gay marriage, gay parades, etc. It may be that there will come a day when the safest haven for Christians will be Russia. I also think there are some South American countries.

Problem is the old truth, Once the cat is out of the bag.... etc is still relevant. One of our faults here is the extremes in attitudes, the minorities that have the attitude of LOVE 'EM OR KILL 'EM.I am reminded of President Obama bringing up the Gay situation in Kenya, and the leader there said, I am sorry Mr. President, but Kenya does not have a Gay Problem.Looking around, I agree with you, we are wrong to give the 'Gay Community' the front page. We are supposed to still be a country where the majority rules but does not OPPRESS the minority. Your statement is not completely accurate. Many things have happened that have caused ethnic Russians to become leery of American missionaries. Furthermore, while Russia is becoming more authoritarian, they are not returning to communism

Yup. Russla, like China, is pleased to have the support of the visible church so long as that church is subservient to the desires of the state. Is it any different in America today? As long as Christians chow down in America - they are ok. You complain about someone's lifestyle - you are a hater
