than I was 5 years ago....I feel i'm getting left behind...A man I went to church with a number of years ago posted his opinion on FB regarding the two ministers who have walked away so to speak. He commended them for not being hypocritical anymore and for being real and it was okay to have doubts. His post was without scripture but he stated we all have had doubts....that agree with. But he learned more about God in his doubts than anywhere else. And as I mentioned, these men are just being real.....which was what I gathered he saw as commendable.Probably what astounded me more was how so many people liked the post who are friends of mine. I did not understand getting to know God more through doubts. Zero scripture to back up anything.I did reply to his post to which I since deleted since it created a very adverse reaction from him. My post went something along the lines of...I do not understand how a person who left his spouse to embrace an alternative lifestyle is now somehow justifiable because he is being real. It was something like this but with more finesse. I said that are we somehow justifying sin under the guise of being real? I am not a bible thumper. I was chastised by a fellow church board member due to my extreme embracing of grace. I believe in applying grace and truth to areas of sin. Maybe I am so disconnected from reality of church people. My wife even said his post really tended to embrace universalism since he was intimating that he knows and understands God through his experiences. That said, I had a friend who went to the same church chastise me for deleting my responses because he felt it was a measured response to an otherwise gross believe system.

Funny thing about this being real is I thought I was real. Many people will click 'Like' that do notleven understand what was written and some never even read. They click 'like' because it is a 'friend' on FB. Many times it is to avoid a comment.Anyway, about every week or so, I feel like I am being left behind..... LOLTake care and 'Get REal.' Which evidently doesn't mean the same to everyone.Many times it is 'get wild' not get real.Hang in there my friend. One day we will really know REAL PS: I probably spent too much time here, but I only spend an average of 2 minutes on FB every day, and that will be to wish my many friends a Happy Birthday! This particular instance of keeping it real was the Hillsong guy saying he no longer believed and was keeping it real by asking the questions that nobody was asking like 'Why does the Bible seem to contradict itself?, How could a good God let people go to Hell?, In other words, his keeping it real was literally asking the same questions that have spawned THOUSANDS of books over the last 2000 years, in other words he's asking the questions that EVERYONE is asking. So no, he isn't keeping it real, he's lying, using cheap excuses (with no scripture to back it up like you say) to justify his apostasy and telling everyone Hey you can trust me now, since I've said one thing for 20 years and now suddenly I'm saying the opposite. If that's keeping it real, then we must all be in the Matrix.
