A smile.My son admits freely he made a terrible choice for a wife. She was in the USAF and raised a Mormon in Utah.Before a divorce they produced a beautiful grandson for us. The boy was my Life. Hi took him to work with me as a general contractor. Changed his diapers and gave him bottles.In the dead of night while my son was working a mid shift, she left. Taking Ben and every thing they owned. I received a letter once a year for 4 years mailed by her friends from different states. When he was Five she contacted me ans said he could come to NC to visit for the summer if I swore to send him back and would cover all expense. I did.the reason for the post:Of course he attended church with us, He was and is a great guy. In church on Sunday morning when our pastor got wound up in his sermon, little Ben pulled my sleeve and whispered, Grandpa, why is he yelling at us?He will never know how many times I have thought of that over the years during church services. He always says on his yearly visits, Grandpa, I still remember praying with you in your Vacation Bible Schools in the summer.
